Updated the audio page and content, added a section for the new album, Connectivity. It's not done yet, but I put online niced-up copies of all 6 finished tracks from the album, as well as 14 "spoilers" which are semi-completed songs for the same album. Some spoiler tracks contain lyrics. Also, fixed the years on the albums, and had to re-upload the mp3s with corrected tags (took ALL DAY :( ). Glad to have made such progress. More later...

I have made some progress on making all my music available for download directly from this website. Go here for that. I plan on fixing that up a lot when I get more time. In addition to the music page, I set up a forum where, among other things, you can discuss Sleeping Prophet-related crap. Here are the forums. The actual move to Portland went without a hitch, but adjusting to a whole new city and finding a job and friends is a slow process. I think I like it here, but its too soon to tell. As always, my MySpace page contains pretty much the most up to date stuff.

I have the "beta" mix of the new song Three Days In Heaven online now at MySpace.com and Ampcast.com. This song premiered on the Industrial Radio podcast, show #28. I hope you enjoy it.

Been working like every day thanks to the release of the latest Harry Potter movie :( Anyways, this evening i finished putting my music on Soundclick.com. At this point in time, all 39 TSP tracks should be up, making the content the same as that found on my Ampcast.com page, which will be going down in January due to lack of money. i have a rough idea of how the new site will work, and have a friend of a friend possibly helping with graphics, so hopefully it'll be up and rocking within a couple of months. i have not received any feedback on what should be on my demo CD, and due to a lack of money, i haven't made or shipped them yet :(. even more bad news, i have no idea where i'll be moving to this December. my lease is up at the end of the year, so who the hell knows what'll be happening this holiday season. wurd.

HOLY CRAP! Ampcast.com is STILL online! if you want my music, go get it from them while you still can :). i am now using my myspace blog for most of my "news" type stuff, and will try to set up some sort of RSS feed arggegator thing to pull the news items from that feed and put them into this page. HERE is my blog RSS feed. gotta run.

i have been keeping myself busy as always. in a new effort at getting my web presence in line with my high level of dorkiness, i have begun sprucing up the site. so far i added an embedded RSS feed and got a favicon working. i also re-built the lyrics section to use PHP, which is the first part of my upcoming site rebuild. i plan on doing some sort of PHP-based dynamically built monstrosity with a bunch of content and links.
in other news, i have begun increasing the number of tracks hosted on the web, with tracks now on Soundclick.com, Download.com, and i set up an account on MySpace.com, so if you're already on there, don't be shy :). i am also one of many people helping the 72dpi Army develop an open-source computer/video-game called Super Mario War. i'm a big fan of the game, and have so far made some audio content for the game, as well as helping with ideas about what to add next.
finally, i need your help! as i mentioned earlier, i intend to do a better job of promoting this project, and as a result i need to do a major site overhaul/redesign. if you know someone who has graphics skills, don't be afraid to e-mail me about them, as i could really use some help in this area. in addition to this, i have decided it's high time that i finally put together a demo CD to send out to some labels. however, i currently have like 39 tracks (over 3 hours of music) from which i gotta pick 3 to 5 tracks to "represent" me. e-mail me your picks! and finally, you totally should go check out IndustrialRadio.org, a monthly(ish) Podcast from a guy named Jon over in Detroit. he's been playing my stuff for like a year now, and as a subscriber of his show, i can tell you that if you like Sleeping Prophet you'll prolly like the other stuff he plays too. did i mention it's FREE? how can you go wrong? until the next news installment, keep on with the keeping on...

Happy Fourth of July, everybody. Tonight I took a look at my statistics on ampcast.com. See, it's a pay service, and being rather strapped for cash I was considering getting rid of my account. The numbers made me reconsider. 10,237 page views, 19,124 songs streamed, and 16,583 songs downloaded over the past couple years! Pretty decent exposure :). As my earlier post indicated, we're working on getting a live show together, so anyone interested in booking venues in the southwestern Ohio area, send me an e-mail. Thanks, all.

As always, been really busy and thus haven't been updating the site hardly at all. I am in the process of developing a percssion sampler VST plug-in called DrumStripe DS8. It's going to be fairly nice and free. I began developing it for live use, which is the other big news. If everything proceeds according to plan Sleeping Prophet will be playing live shows this summer. I will be doing vocals, Mark Edwards will be handling keyboards, and Ian Mellencamp from Bluf will probably be playing guitars. We were hoping to get a live drummer, but for now we're going to just focus on getting a good set together and some shows booked. Obviously I will update the site as shows become booked. In addition, a new instrumental track called Cryoventus is done and up on my Ampcast page so head on over and download it RIGHT NOW!! If you'd like to book us for a show in late July, send me an e-mail

YEE-HAW!!! This will be the first of many frequent updates from now on. I've been rather busy for the past year, and that continues to be the case but I am putting a higher priority on my music-related activities. The entire sleepingprophet.com site will get a major overhaul in the next 3 months. I got a pretty good digital camera, and learned PHP, which should contribute to a rise in the overall quality of the site. Speaking of PHP, I am almost done with my first open-source programming project. It's an HTTP server administration utility, geared towards people using an array of unreliable HTTP servers to host a file library mirrored across the whole array. I am in the process of debugging the script for Linux, the Windows version is basically done. I will probably launch an informative site hosted on my lostchild.no-ip.com webspace, with links here. That project is currently on the back-burner.
In music-related news, I am in the process of overhauling my studio (again). I have a new FireWire audio/MIDI interface shipping in tommorrow which should help increase my sound quality and stability a lot. Over the past 6 months I have been migrating into a Cubase SX 2 environment, but I'm now sufficiently up to speed to make tracks quickly & easily. I'm attempting to establish creative links in the Tri-State area and get together a computer-based downtempo set which can be performed live. More on that later...
I am in the process of getting my ampcast.com site up-to-date. Since I'm too lazy to find myself a good agent or record label, I've decided to use the web to distribute as much as possible. To that end, I'm in the process of putting every single TSP track ever made up on ampcast.com. In addition, I will be distributing through the e-Donkey 2000 p2p filesharing network. If you've already got an ed2k client installed, Click Here To Download my 2003 album, Introspection's Child. I will soon add a new section to sleepingprophet.com which will make it a lot easier to obtain TSP-related files, including my miscelaneous music-related files (Reaktor instruments, VST plug-ins I have built, samples, etc).
I am extremely up for any sort of electronic music collaboration and I'm looking for remixers for the follow-up to Introspection's Child. all 13 tracks from that album are now up on my Ampcast page so head on over if you're interested, or send me an e-mail
MORE UPDATES TO FOLLOW
><<<Sunday, July 13th, 2003>>>
WOW! as always i apologize for neglecting my updates. yes i am still doing music. no the new album still is not released. however, there is some excellent news for anyone who is into Sleeping Prophet. thanks to many insanely supportive people like Mary, Chad, and Shaun, Sleeping Prophet continues to spread across the US. Shaun is getting some play at clubs like Neo in Chicago, and is trying to use his contacts inside both major industrial labels in the US to get a distribution deal for Introspection's Child. thanks to his incredible enthusiasm i am seriously considering touring in support of this CD. nothing is definite. thanks to Mary for introducing TSP to the 'scene' in New Mexico. who knew they had goth clubs there?
in other news, all you people who will be too poor to buy the new album when it gets distribution, i suggest you download as much as you can from my ampcast page, because i will probably have to take most of the tracks down in an effort to get people to buy the CD and thus help get me out of debt. i have finished yet another track which would be quite suitable for Introspection's Child, so if i shuffle the tracklist around again i'll let you know here, and the track list / lyrics page will be updated as well. i have 2 remixes finished already for the remix follow-up to Introspection's Child, tentatively titled Silicate Dream Diary. as with The Broken Mirror Anthology, the remix collection will probably feature mixes by me as well a host of other artists. we shall see what emerges...
on the personal front, i continue to struggle with putting my life back together. learning to live alone and be alone haven't been very easy for me. being single is far more work than i ever thought possible. Caroline, if you are reading this, you will never know how much you mean to me. i continue to work on music every day, creating new stuff and developing old stuff. all in all i suppose things are looking up.
><<<Tuesday, October 15th, 2002>>>
I'm keeping busy as ever. lately i haven't had enough time to deal with all the various aspects of my life, but i suppose that's normal. i am now once again a full-time college student, and also a part-time working man. while this is good for my life, it leaves less time for music than i would like. as those of you who received the last news e-mail know, the second full-length Sleeping Prophet album, 'Introspection's Child' is now in the final stages of production. the music is all finished, and it's currently 78 minutes spread out over 13 tracks. i may have to cut one or two tracks to make the CD do-able on Ampcast.com, but i'll probably base that decision on the reactions i get to the pre-release version. i will be circulating the 'Pre-Release' version of the album to a few friends and random people to get a sense of how people will react to the album as a whole. in addition to this, i still need to do the artwork, which will most likely involve some sculptor work for the cover image. we'll see what my schedule allows.
in other, more site-related news, i've finished the lyrics page, which currently only covers the 12 tracks from Introspecton's Child which have lyrics. i plan on adding the rest of the older TSP stuff when time allows. in addition, i have a rudimentary new photo gallery online. it's only 6 images, but it will work for now until i can get a bigger and better one developed.
><<<Thursday, May 30th, 2002>>>I'm having quite a good week for music, it seems. i started and finished a song tonight, including most stages of mastering. it's called My Favorite Escape, and i'm pleased with it. i may release it as a 'streaming only' file on ampcast.com. we shall see.
also, I found a better title for the song that i originally was gonna call Pushback. it's now entitled Apotheosis. i changed the name for 2 reasons: 'pushpack' really doesn't sound good when spoken out loud while i think apotheosis does, and i feel it more accurately articulates what the song is about.
in addition to this, i completed a remix for fellow ampcaster, DJ Fuse. he's quite pleased with my remix and will be promoting it. however, both the original and (Mythogenic Mix) versions of his track I'm Feeling High are decidely hip-hop in style, so not every TSP fan will necessarily like them. but, if that sounds interesting, the mix should be up within a few days here
finally, i'm pleased to write that Tom from Assemblage 23 is a nice guy. if you like vocal industrial/ebm music then do yourself a favor and check out Tom's music, it's good stuff.
><<<Tuesday, May 28th, 2002>>>Many apologies for the long wait on updates. i was in kind of a funk for the past month as far as doing anything important is concerned, but i'm coming out of it nicely. i've been very busy musically lately, having finished 2 tracks since last update. Runaway is the product a touch of suicidal depression that washed over me last month. close friends and fans tell me it's my best TSP track to date. it incorporates some methods i've used in the past with some new musical and aesthetic ideas to create a deep darkwave journey. once it was finished i realized that a song that's almost 9 minutes long can be a little much to ask of the casual, so i made an edited version of the track that omits the long intoduction. the full-length version will be released on the CD, while the (Edit) version is available for streaming on my ampcast page here. this is the first track where i'm making it 'Pay Per Download', which is a new program ampcast.com started recently. it's an experimental move to see how people will react to the 'Pay Per Download' option, because everyone i talk to seems to have a different opinion and perspective on the issue.
the other new track is Apotheosis, which i've finished writing and recording and just needs some mix tweaks before i consider it done. i'm not sure if i'll release Apotheosis to the public or just keep it under raps like Disconnected. in any case there are now 10 tracks (60 minutes of material) written and recorded for the new album. i figure i need to finish another 2 or 3 songs before i'm happy with the album as a finished work. i'll be remastering all the older tracks for the new album, especially Operator and Lost, which will probably get re-recorded vocals and some new drums and stuff. overall, i think the album should be finished in sometime in the next six months at the latest.
in other news, i've started a new collaborative project with Maudlin Rhapsodist's Chad Miller, i'm currently in search of a job and a new psychologist, and i'm STILL waiting to get the new PR photos developed... thanks to those who joined the mailing list on the last update, if you want to be on the list contact me.
><<<Thursday, March 14th, 2002>>>As of today, two new TSP tracks are available here. Entitled 'Emptiness' and 'The Cuts Were Beautiful Until They Began To Heal', they are the sixth and seventh tracks completed for the new album. Emptiness is a sort of industral rock song in the same vein as most TSP stuff, while The Cuts Were Beautiful Until They Began To Heal is quite different from the rest of my work as TSP. it's a very dark, almost ugly song, with spoken word vocals instead of my usual singing. i'm not sure if many of you will like it, but it's something i needed to write to get out of my system. in any case, i'm working on editing an anime music video for Emptiness which will be unofficially released sometime soon. it's about half finished. i'll probably be making another video for official release sometime later next month, but it will depend on fan response. in other TSP news, we'll be shooting the rest of the photos for the new image gallery this Saturday, so the new photo gallery could be online in a few weeks. as always, i'll keep everyone posted via the mailing list, so contact me if you want to be in the loop.
><<<Saturday, January 19th, 2002>>>
as you can see, Slumber-Net 2.0 is (mostly) completed and is now online. i have two new tracks in the final mixing stages and they should be out very soon. as always, i'll be sending out a mailer to everyone on the mailing list when the new tracks come out, and if you'd like to be on the list just e-mail me. sorry about the wait on getting the site updated, but looking for a job, keeping my life in order, and Quake 3 have all been big time consumers for me lately... in any case, i've moved all previous News entries to a seperate page called Old News.
